Sustainable concepts by means of thorough analysis

VIT’s core competencies include the analysis and design of workable and sustainable solutions. The analysis is often the greatest step. However, once the initial position is clear, the solution is usually almost obvious.
Our concept supplies the basics for implementation of a project. In this respect, we proceed in a pragmatic manner. For small projects, the information can fit on one piece of paper; for large projects, documentation which can be amended, with sustainable value, is involved.

VIT staff have sound knowledge in the areas of prepress, multimedia, programming and applications as well as internet service providers. Know-how from the areas of marketing and corporate management flows into our consultancy activity. Our solutions have to fit into the company’s overall situation. Only this way can the greatest possible amount of usability be generated.

 

Media Standardisation

Using standards, setting guidelines and safeguarding quality

The aim of a MAM solution should be to provide original files standardised as much as possible. These must be both high-quality and easy to exchange, in other words universally compatible. Detailed keywording and clearly defined rights of use must be available.

Thanks to around thirty years of experience in the area of prepress and our deepened insight into the marketing, sales and communications processes used by international groups of companies, we are aware of the current standards and present-day challenges in this area and are responding to them with a media standard.

A media standard is similar to a CD manual, but does not define the communication goals and rules for implementation of the CI, but rather the condition of the files used to this end. A typical media standard includes the technical, editorial and legal aspects of master data:

  • Technical: What is the original made up of? What file formats, colour fields, colour profiles, clipping paths, etc?
  • Editorial: How is the keywording done? What guidelines are applied? (Do we speak of an automobile, a car or a private car?)
  • Legal: How are the rights of use defined? Copyrights? Bylines?

We support our customers both in the development of a media standard and in relation to use and quality control.
