Since 1997, Picturepark has been one of the fastest and most user-friendly MAM systems on the market. Our customers manage and exchange data in the terabyte range via individual Picturepark authorities in a fast and reliable manner.
The Picturepark user interface uses modern AJAX technology recognised by many Web 2.0 applications, which facilitates asynchronous server-client processes and work similar to that carried out on a locally installed application.
The Picturepark core and all optional locally installed applications for integration are mostly based on .NET, coded in C#. Picturepark can be run on Windows Server.
Picturepark stores data directly on the local filesystem or external NAS- and SAN memory. Only the metadata and application parameters are stored in the data bank. Picturepark is sold with MySQL as a standard feature and is thus wholly maintenance-free. Back-up scripts support secure operation in any environment.
From the point of view of the client, Picturepark can be fully run in a browser. It supports traditional browsers such as:
Picturepark does not require plug-ins such as Java. Only version 9 of Flash Player is required for some optional functions.
Picturepark is a flexible and modular system with an open type of system architecture based on web and industry standards. Picturepark is continuously being expanded and reworked so that it takes current developments into account.
By means of SOAP/XML Picturepark provides functions and assets for other developers via the comprehensive web service interface (API) or it can be integrated into any other systems.
Picturepark’s performance depends mainly on the hardware used. The following server requirements are recommended:
