Picturepark can be operated in the customer’s infrastructure as Software as Service (SaaS) or as server software.
Software as a Service (SaaS)
Since Picturepark was developed in 1997, Picturepark has been being successfully operated as SaaS. The data and application are hosted in the secure computer centre at VIT. Access takes place via web browser.
More than 90% of our customers use this service, while individual customers manage up to one terabyte of data.
- Hosting of data and application in the secure computer centre in Switzerland
- Includes all updates, always most up-to-date version of Picturepark
- Customer-specific configuration with individual data bank and application authority
- First-class operation in highly available, repeatedly secured infrastructure
- Depending on the licence model selected, there are no licensing costs for an SaaS solution.
Picturepark Onsite Server
If an Onsite Server is available, Picturepark is operated within the customer’s IT structure or within the IT structure of a third party commissioned by the customer.
- Server licence
- Installation and configuration on the server at the customer’s business
- No externalised operating costs
- Optional access to updates through a software update contract
Once-off licensing costs are incurred when the software is being purchased.
